Chattanooga, TN 2012

Every stop along the “Journey” has been quite unique.  In writing about Chattanooga you may notice my style of writing different.  Instead of documenting or journaling different happenings and events of the week there seems to have been one major theme.

God’s favor was extended; the Love of Jesus Christ was present and the Holy Spirit at work!

This all began Monday morning before I left Knoxville for Chattanooga. You may remember I wrote about meeting Pastor Tim, how amped up he is for JESUS….  Well, Sunday night in prayer my plea/question: Is this where you want me to deny myself and serve? Will this bear more fruit pleasing to You?  Rather than the Journey I’m on?  Lord whatever you want me to do I need you to make it absolutely clear just like you did before.  Amen.

I ran out Monday morning to get a cup of coffee before I left Knoxville. When I sat down I heard the words “sharing the gospel”.  At the table beside me were four young adults talking about sharing the gospel.  I listened intently, but that would last only so long and I was invited to join them.  We shared experiences and encouraged one another. Before we prayed they said; we believe the Holy Spirit intercedes/prays for us as He wills so when we pray, we wait on Him to speak to us what we should pray.  So there were a few minutes of silence and one after the other the four of them spoke.  Well even eight days later I cannot find adequate words. Fighting back tears now, but the centrality of the words spoken were; well pleased, faithful, continue on and the fourth element is hard to write about because in my estimation I’m not worthy.  The Bible says,  Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation (James 1:9), and in another place;  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up (James 4:10).  This is the most I will say for now.  One more thing:  I had made no mention what so ever about my prayer the night before and had no idea that I would hear from God so fast.   Awestruck again and certain I left for Chattanooga.

The Hinge of Eternity is “The Cross of JESUS Christ”

Having enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery I arrived safely and my first stop was Woodland Park Baptist Church.  There I met Robin and was introduced to Larry Frick the missions coordinator.  I went through the usual who, what, where, when, why’s and gave references.  Brother Larry asked about the How’s; what is the Gospel? What do you think I should do to protect the flock? Then Larry wanted to take a look at my rig.  After doing so we went back inside and I waited to see if I would have a place to park for the week.  Larry came and told me there was a house much nearer to downtown and asked if that would be something I would consider?  I said yes that would be great. Then a few minutes later, I met Brother Dan whom I followed into town and He helped me get parked. Praise God! The first place I went God provided.  But then, Dan handed me a key to the house and said it was mine for the week!  I was overwhelmed by God’s favor.  Before, I went into the church building I said; “Lord your will be done, You know what is best and whatever that looks like my satisfaction is in You.  Amen.”  So I was blessed with a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Once again the Lord has fulfilled His promise: So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions and in the age to come, eternal life.  (Mk 10:29–30). NKJV

Chattanooga, Home

Throughout the week I was blessed by the brethren at Woodland Park.  Serving together, meeting the needs of others downtown at Patton Towers. We broke bread, prayed, shared testimonies, studied and worshiped together.

There are many others I met in parking lots, gas stations and shops who have been a joy to me. There is one very unusual thing that stands out and that is: throughout the entire week in Chattanooga I did not hear or see any rude comment or gesture being made towards the Cross of Jesus Christ!

Two concluding remarks:

Upon completing stops in both Knoxville and Chattanooga; the State of Tennessee is one that remains loyal to, “In GOD We Trust” and specifically “Jesus Christ is Lord”.

Secondly, the brethren of Woodland Park Baptist Church received, kept, nourished and sent me off in the very Love of The Lord Jesus Christ!  Virtue has been added to me such that I was replete of.  But now there is something of the Lord to be poured out on others.  Praise God!  Thank you Dear Brethren!

Thank all of you at home and those abroad for the various ways you support me in the Lords work.  May the Love and Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abound to each of You. That you may know the fullness to which we may obtain even now as we wait for the blessed hope in the age to come. Amen.

Knoxville, TN 2012

Tennessee is 13 of 50 along; The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!  The drive through Virginia to Knoxville was beautiful.

On Tuesday I was welcomed by Central Baptist Church of Bearden and provided a place to call home for the week.

One of the major events of the week happened Wednesday evening downtown Knoxville under the highway overpasses.  There, I witnessed Christians demonstrating the love of Christ towards the less fortunate. A medical station was in full operation. Hundreds of hot meals were served. There was another station where hygiene packages, eyeglasses, Bibles and Prayer was offered. Before the meal the Gospel was presented and a few accepted Jesus Christ! Come to find out that Knoxville is known as a City of refuge for the homeless.  Lost Sheep Ministries, along with local volunteers are impacting many here for Christ.

Earlier in the week while driving on the interstate I saw a peculiar looking truck and took a picture.  Afterwards I waved at the driver, he went one way and I the other. Later I looked at the photo, saw a phone number and made a call.

Party for JESUS Truck!

That’s how I met Pastor Tim Macklin who started “Party for Jesus Ministries”.  Tim was so amped about Jesus it’s unreal! So much scripture came out of his mouth in every conversation we had. This man has been at the bottom of the pit many times in his life.  But about six years ago He was Born Again.  Now Jesus is in him and he is in Christ! It’s amazing; the poor are fed, the naked clothed, the gospel is proclaimed, many have been won for Christ and lives are restored and God is given all the Glory.  If you ever need to be encouraged and hear a powerful testimony; call Tim and hold on (865) 640-5636.

Knoxville was the perfect place for the start of the next leg of the journey.  It was so evident that I was in the Bible belt.  I cannot remember one rude comment directed towards the display of the Cross. Praise God!

My post for Knoxville is short but this week has been rich in blessings and having arrived in Chattanooga I’m eager to get started. Once again God has provided everything I had need of and having been encouraged I am confident as I move on in answering His Call.  Your prayers, support and encouragement are highly regarded.  Until next week, God willing I hope to write to you again.

Harrisburg, PA 2012

The time I spent here was somewhat restful and without the extremes of recent past.  God provided a great place to park at East Shore Baptist Church.  Pastor Brian Harrison welcomed me in the love of Christ.

Harrisburg, PA 2012

Throughout the week I met a variety of people most of whom were a blessing to me.  There were a few who had no good thing to say about Jesus.  One was a security guard who approached as soon as I parked at Wal-Mart.  If you have been following along you may know what I was thinking; “here we go again Lord”.  Well I was exactly “Wrong”!  This dear brother was excited about The JESUS Truck and could not wait for me to get out of it. Charlie and I had a great time sharing testimonies and rejoicing in the Lord and the yellow lights flashing did not bother me at all this time.

Wednesday afternoon I met another brother amped up on JESUS!  Jose Diaz said, “I Love My JESUS!”  We made a bit of a scene outside of Panera bread.  Talk about demonstration of brotherly Love in the Spirit of Christ, Yes!  Brings to mind the scripture; “they will know you by the Love you have for one another”. Amen.  Jose and I got in the Jesus Truck to go and mess some people up with the Love of Christ.  We had a great time.

Friday evening I went to a Cokesbury Bookstore and looked it over pretty good.  I  was outa sorts when finished there so much that the following is a copy of the text message I sent to Brother Kris of Louisville, KY;  Need to vent, just walked through Cokesbury here and it’s sickening. Worldly, Liberal and Disgusting.  I’m more comfortable in a Barnes and Noble.  Should be called; a religious or spiritual resource center.  Rob Bell’s Love Wins is front and Center in Theology!!! Gotta go renew my mind. God help America! Amen.   I drove across town and went to Lifeway Christian Bookstore where I met Kylee a sales associate.  We had a great time talking about the Lord and I remembered the text I sent to Kris a little while ago.  Hello, God used Kylee to renew my Spirit!

Then Saturday, I heard a man ask someone; “did you see that truck?” Yes was the answer to which Tim replied “I mean Jesus whoa!  Do you know about JESUS?”  That’s so cool, talk about childlike faith, no reserve, what so ever.  Brother Tim and I had a great time of fellowship, rejoicing in the Lord.   A lady walked up because of the cross and shared some of her burdens with life.  I told her about how Jesus understands her burdens and wants to be there for her.  I shared gospel with her and it looked like she wanted to trust JESUS.  The hard thing was to see her change the subject just when I thought she was going to make her decision and this happened three times.  Please pray for Patricia.  I caught this on video and you can watch it here:

The Gospel JESUS Saves Sinners.wmv

Sunday I enjoyed fellowship and a great Worship Service at East Shore Baptist Church.  The main point was; as a result of being born again a person’s life is surrendered to serve as the Lord wills.  I will stop here before this turns into a sermon.

Throughout the week I enjoyed flying the banner of Jesus Christ throughout the Capitol City of Pennsylvania. It’s been 13 days since I began diligent pursuit of The Holy Spirit.  Much to my delight, The Holy Spirit has shown up on numerous occasions.  Thank you for and please continue praying for me to resist all temptation and that I may grow into maturity yielding to God’s will.  Amen

God willing I’ll write you again in about a week, rejoicing in what the Lord has done! Praise God!! Amen.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 2012

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 2012

I was surprised when driving out of a tunnel there was; The City of Pittsburgh! Driving downtown reminded me of Chicago, the way the buildings towered. Later I arrived at the baseball stadium just as the Pirates fans began filing out by the thousands.  What an incredible opportunity to fly the banner of Christ!

Through the tunnel then, Hello Pittsburgh, PA 2012

One other thing about the typography; this is hill country. The neighborhoods are in the hills that surround the city.  The winding, narrowness and steepness of the roads are quite dramatic.  Home base for the week was provided by Hill Top Baptist Church. (Literal interpretation is correct here.)  What a beautiful park like setting and the church was built with logs (check it out www.hbcpa.org).

Hello Pittsburgh, PA 2012

Wednesday, I was reminiscing how great it was last week in Wheeling, having been connected with many Christians. It was easy to be bold for The Lord Jesus Christ there. But I desire to be bold everywhere I go in JESUS’ name.  Remembering that I made it almost 6 months on the first leg of the journey but then had to retreat and now on the second leg with 3 towns to complete six more states, I realized I need more faith than ever before. Because about two weeks ago I plotted the next course along; The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!  God willing, on Oct 15th, the journey will take me across this country, up the west coast and back to Virginia about December of 2013!  But first a 2 week pit stop at home.  I’m looking forward to visiting my family and friends to address maintenance issues concerning the ministry equipment and medical for me.   Back to the point, I can’t do this even with all the advantages of what God has supplied to date. (The encouragement, experiential wisdom and provision.)  No, I need more!

I cried out to God to be endued with Power from on High.  I want to see people come to Christ and be saved.  I want to be totally yielded to the Holy Spirit so HE will work all things according to HIS good pleasure.  I cannot be bold, I cannot save one soul, I cannot heal anyone and I cannot represent Jesus Christ to the World!  But The Holy Spirit of GOD can do all these things and more! Praise God!!!

This is what I believe God has said to me:

Be diligent to be Holy!

Be diligent in Study of His Word about His Spirit!

Be diligent in Prayer!

So, I started Wednesday September 5th, deeper in pursuit of Holiness, in pursuit through Study of the Word about The Holy Spirit and in pursuit of God through prayer that it may be so done!  All to the Glory of God!  Amen.

One thing I find interesting is this began September 5th and I plan to leave October 15th which is “40 Days”.  That’s just so cool.  Please be in prayer that God would do this work in me so that The Holy Spirit can do all He Wills through me.  Amen.

On Thursday, while seated outside of Panera Bread I heard someone say, “I wonder who’s truck that is” I looked up and said “it’s mine”.  That’s when I met Dominic and Denise.  Dominic had just finished getting his hair cut when he walked outside, saw the Jesus Truck and called his wife to come outside saying I want you to see something. (Denise his wife had just cut his hair)  There’s a little more to it this time. It was indeed about the Jesus Truck but what was different is that they saw The JESUS Truck last May in Madison, Wisconsin! Dominic showed me a couple of pictures they took outside the Wal-Mart in Madison.  That’s really awesome because today The Lord showed me again the impact of this journey is far more than I realize. In addition to the Joy of meeting Dominic and Denise this way, God blessed me through them in many ways.  One of those ways was; Dominic inviting me to attend a men’s ministry breakfast on Saturday morning.

Meet Brother Dominic

Saturday morning I arrived at South Hills Assembly of God where I was received in the Love of Christ.  We had a great time of fellowship at breakfast. Later brother Dominic went on stage, told about how we met and invited me to share a little about the journey I was on.  Afterwards, we all were encouraged by the guest speaker who happens to be a former Pittsburg Steeler.  This man’s heart was all in; sharing about the value in the discipline he learned growing up on the farm, next, about the disappointment of being injured in his first year with the Steelers and then he spoke of how that time proved to be very valuable in learning the game.  This was a very motivational testimony. The main point that was made time and again was; we all need to realize that each of us is unique and we should be so satisfied with how we are. God created you the way you are and we should encourage each other in our uniqueness saying; “good at being you John”, “good at being you Stephan” and so on.  The way it came across to me was that we should find value in ourselves just as we happen to be.

As this went on, The Holy Spirit was bringing scripture to mind, one after another, after another and another.  The scriptures where all testifying of man’s utter depravity and that’s why the Lord Jesus Christ had to come to go the way of the Cross!  Hello, all of mankind is “good at being you”.  Self-confidence is blasphemy and the very Seal on the indictment of Eternal Destruction!

Dom was sitting beside me and I don’t remember how our communication started but he encouraged me for being patient and said he believed the Lord would provide an opening to share what was on my heart.  Well sure enough the invitation was given for anyone to speak or share what God may have put on their heart!

So when the invitation was given the second time I raised my hand, was acknowledged and after what seemed to be a long time the floor was yielded. I stood up and the Holy Spirit moved me to speak with grace when referring to and tying into some of our guest speaker’s statements.  I believe it was in surety and with clarity that The Holy Spirit spoke how imperative it is that we know The Word of God, renounce all self-worth trusting fully the work of The Lord Jesus Christ and to be dependent on The Holy Spirit to transform us into the very image of Christ.

If we may rightly obtain any confidence it will come by way of the natural man being crucified. Then another may behold a reflection of The Lord JESUS Christ!

I did not plan to write all of that but it’s done.  I believe The Holy Spirit has validated what HE will do if, I continue in pursuit of Holiness, in pursuit of HIM through Study of the Word and in pursuit of God through prayer! All to the Glory of God!  Amen.

Friday it was time to go downtown to fly the banner of The Lord Jesus Christ, so downtown through rush hour and later along the route leading to the baseball stadium where the Pirates would be playing.  To make it a little more interesting I set the Paradise prop upright and put a small amplified speaker between the sliding glass widow and while driving slow I spoke a few scriptures compelling men to come to Christ. Later, I stopped to put the prop down and while doing so a young man stopped his car got out to engage me in conversation.  His approach was cavalier or gentle and complimentary.  But soon his agenda was revealed.  As I talked about the person of Jesus Christ he offered the compliment that I was Jesus! I assured him that if he saw anything of Jesus in me it was because I follow the Lord Jesus Christ as His ambassador to a lost and dying world.  This man was subtle and before long he went to his knees as to honor me!  I thought no way, then I said get up that’s blasphemous!   I’m not Jesus I’m a sinner saved by faith in the work Jesus accomplished on the Cross at Calvary!!! You can be saved if you repent of your sin and follow the Lord Jesus Christ!  I’m done; go your way.  With that behind me the evening came to a close.

Saturday afternoon I drove to the mall and parked. But before I could get out of the truck security was knocking on the window.  The officer told me that I had to move the truck to the furthest point away from the mall if I wanted to stay.  He went on to say the mall had a policy against any religious content being displayed on any vehicle.  I asked a question and there would be no consideration. But God intervened and I was allowed to park where I was; Yes!  Before I left the mall I decided to ask management about the parking policy.  The Gentleman was very polite and assured me that I was welcome and their goal is to keep people from handing out literature and asking for money.

Saturday evening I enjoyed fellowship and dinner at Dominic’s and Denise’s home.  There I was blessed to meet John, Nick and Joyce.  We spent the evening sharing testimonies and what an encouragement they were to me.

Meet; Denise, Joyce, John, Me and Nick

Meet; Denise, Joyce, John, Me and Nick

Sunday I enjoyed fellowship at the church which provided a place to park for the week.  Afterwards I called Brother Dominic and asked him to drop me off at the mall.  I wanted to see what the response would be when I wore a Christian tee shirt there.  I chose the bright yellow one that has the same cross graphic as the truck and went inside. I spent the majority of time inside stores and I texted Dominic to come pick me up. While walking the mall concourse things started picking up.  Security was on the move.  Dominic let me know he was there to pick me up so I made my way to the exit with security not far behind and security was parked outside the entrance with lights going.  Brethren this is just one of many experiences I’ve encountered along the journey. Take note that I did not hand out anything either time in this mall.  I could speak quite a bit on the subject of coming persecution in America.  I have not written this so as to cause fear but that you may know and prepare to finish strong.

In closing; the week here in Pittsburg has been to say the least unique.  The constant has been God’s faithfulness in providing and seeing me through that I may have the honor to fly the banner in the next town along: The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!

Your prayers, support and encouragement are highly regarded.  Until next week, God willing I write to you again.

Wheeling, West Virginia 2012

Wheeling, WV 2012

The week I spent in Wheeling went by so fast.  Upon arrival and through the first person I met in Wheeling, God provided a place to park. This happened in the Wal-Mart parking lot when I stopped because there was a 10 foot high obstacle preventing me from exiting. I got out considering what I needed to do when a truck stopped a man got out and offered to help me.  I told him I had this, but what I really needed was a place to park for a week. He said if you will follow me it’s about three miles from here, you can park at our church.  So Dallas Pike Baptist Church welcomed me and that without a background check. (Ha, Ha)  The second person I met was John Warnick.  John shared how God was using him as the regional representative of the Free Wheelchair Mission.  Get this, while doing so he said there’s about a 3,000 member church in Colonial Heights, VA that I’m looking forward to going.  I said “that has to be my home church Colonial Heights Baptist Church”. John said, “no way” took out his legal pad and asked do you know Angela Toney and of course I do.  That’s a God thing in which we rejoiced. From this starting point John took on the role as public events coordinator, church liaison and my personal assistant.  Remember; I did not approach these two men but rather God sent them to me because of The Cross!  What a way to start the week.  I did not have to go church to church hoping to find a place to park for the week.  Nor did I have to spy out the land with the hope of finding good venues to engage in ministry.  God provided!

Meet John Warnick Free Wheelchair Mission

Tuesday I spent the day with John who introduced me to many church leaders and some town officials.  Tuesday evening I received a phone call from a lady who wanted to meet the driver of the Jesus Truck. So I met Shelia Whitmire at Free Wheelchair Missions office and told her about the Journey I was on.  Shelia spoke of her love for Jesus, her pursuit of Holiness and desire that the world would see Jesus through her.  Wow, what a desire and what’s more Sheila and her dad have constructed a 12 foot wooden Cross just like the one Arthur Blessed carried around the world for forty years.  This dear sister is walking through Wheeling, carrying the Cross and talking about Jesus! Being humbled and full of Joy, I praise God for Sheila and all the saints past present and future for not being ashamed of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.

On Wednesday it was once again show time. The setting was downtown Wheeling along the Ohio River and the draw was a free outdoor concert.  Brother John had secured approval for me to set up to do ministry including audio and video.  This was on a corner lot at the entryway of the event!  Wow, this was the best.  After I set up I looked and saw something that I won’t soon forget. Sheila was in the parking lot assembling the Cross and she was by herself!  I don’t know what if anything has humbled me more.  Talk about Courage and Love for others!  Check out the photo and tell me what you think.

Meet, Sheila Whitmire Wheeling, WV 2012

Thursday, I had to slow down, catch my breath and get ready for the weekend.  John did it again, that is he secured approval for me to setup Friday through Sunday during the 7th Annual Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta.  This event features vintage speed boat racing on the Ohio River and draws thousands of spectators. So it was time to get ready, check all systems and pray.

Friday through Sunday I was parked in front of The WesBanco Arena. Through graphic display, audio, video and one on one witnessing hundreds were impacted by the message of the Lord Jesus Christ and His work on Calvary’s Cross.

The 7th Annual Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta. 2012 HisCall888

Sunday I attended worship service at First Baptist Church of Wheeling.  What an exclamation point to an incredible week in Wheeling, WV!

Thanks for the honor and pleasure; Adam Mick C3, Chris Figaretti The Vineyard, Sam Gibbs, all the Presbyterian Pastors, First Baptist Church Wheeling, CUMC, Ohio Valley Christian Center, Sheila Whitmire, David & Cathy Hoffman, Channel 7 news, Wheeling News-Register, Dr. & Debbie Joseph, Tim Birch and the loving, giving, residents of this Great place called the Friendly City!

While making mention of a few, there are others that have no less been appreciated and all of them are a Joy to me even now as I continue The Journey 50 States One True Story Jesus!

In closing the week in Wheeling has been incredible.

Once again God has provided everything I had need of and having been encouraged I am confident as I move on in answering His Call.     Your prayers, support and encouragement are highly regarded.  Until next week, God willing I hope to write to you again.

Cleveland, Ohio 2012

Cleveland, Ohio 2012

Praise God! Monday, I arrived safe in Cleveland and spent most of the day at the VA hospital.  Parma Heights Baptist Church provided a place to park. On Tuesday I was feeling better but the past two weeks had taken a toll.  There were a few times I wondered if this ministry was so radical that it might be wrong, could this really be causing damage.  I think the most difficult part is the response of churches or the lack thereof by church goers.  Are they afraid of me?  I don’t have leprosy so no need for; “touch not the unclean thing” idea.  Later in the day I met a man who spoke just a few words to me and he left.  The thrust of his words was; keep going, don’t stop!  Really now, I never met him and did not say anything to prompt that.  So that put an end to my doubts.  Praise God!

On Wednesday I was encouraged again when I met Brother Doug who saw the JESUS truck and came to find out who it belonged to.  Praise God! That is for the brethren that can’t help but be moved by things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ!  Doug invited me to his church and share about The Journey.  So Thursday evening I went and when I looked at the audience I was thinking what am I going to say to them?  You might be thinking that does not sound like the guy I know.  Well I made the best of it and afterwards we all went outside to check out the truck.  These guys were so excited and they invited me to cook out with them.  Check out the picture of my friends:

Brother Doud and Friends

Thanks, I had a great time with you guys!

Friday I was beginning to feel more like myself and headed downtown for the evening.  The timing was great, there were so many people and come to find out; the Cleveland Browns were playing and the New York Yankees were in town.  So a lot of people got to see the cross and talk about it. Yes!

On Saturday I went to visit Brother Doug at the Family Christian Bookstore where manages and I met the owner.  She was so excited about the ministry and donated a box of bibles for me to give out.  My give away box was almost empty so how cool was that?  Praise God! (That’s how cool it was!)  Saturday evening instead of heading downtown to engage the public, I went to Grace Church for a Region-Wide Prayer & Worship Night.  It was incredible to engage in intense prolonged worship.  I left renewed.

Sunday morning I enjoyed Worship service at Parma Heights Baptist Church and bible fellowship class.  The topic of the lesson was the Importance of The Truth. When I was asked to speak I told them about the Journey and some of the first hand experiences which were the result of not knowing God’s Word.  I exhort you as well and to read 1st & 2nd Timothy and let God speak to you through Paul’s exhortation.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2012 Hiscall888

Sunday afternoon I ventured to downtown Cleveland and one of my stops was outside the rock and roll hall of fame.  The words, “The Grateful Dead” marked the entry.  Those words provided a starting point that would lead into sharing the gospel.  One thing that really came to light for me was how we hold so tightly to the good times which are past and that’s ok to a point.  But it is very sad when a person’s greatest joys are memories of the good ole days.  Considering the words over the entryway “The Grateful Dead” these words seem fitting for all who are without the hope of eternal life.  Sad indeed but God can raise the dead and He does this through the power of His Spirit through the Word spoken by His children.

Dear friend, are You one of The Grateful Dead or are You one of God’s Children?  Either way please do not hesitate to contact me:

The Grateful Dead that I may to present to you The Gift of God which is Eternal Life through The Lord Jesus Christ!

To God’s Children, that I may pray and encourage you to go speak God’s Word that The Grateful Dead might be raised to Life by God’s Spirit.

As you may have noticed the week started off not so good ended well.  The Lord sent a few words by one man to take away my doubts!

The Lord sent men and women who are passionate about Him to encourage me!

The Lord provided renewal through corporate Worship!

Lord provided healing and strength!

I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.

Each week it is with some regret that I do not make mention of many who God used to bless me.  I do thank each of you and know that the Lord sees and remembers all things.  It is in faith that I hope to see you all again in God’s Kingdom.

To all my beloved brethren, I thank God for your prayers, your encouragement, your gifts, your hospitality, your Godly wisdom and most of all I thank God for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!  Amen.

Until next week, God willing I hope to write to you about Wheeling, West Virginia.

Toledo, Ohio 2012

Toledo, Ohio 2012

While I was glad to leave Detroit, the events in Toledo put my faith to the test in another way.

On Monday I was blessed with a place to park for the week at Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Later I was glad to discover there were three Christian book stores in town.  I know that may sound strange but they have been few and far between lately.  Regardless, Toledo seemed to have a similar spiritual objection to the cross.  Later, I hit a wall.  I was drained, chilled then fever and so it was time to rest. That went on and by Friday things were looking up.

Sanctification

Saturday, the banner of the Lord Jesus Christ was lifted up before men downtown. For the most part that was just driving around and stopping to engage with a few in conversations.  One believer that I met really stands out as I write this.  The thrust of what he said to me was; “you have to keep going don’t give up!” (By the time you finish this article this may seem more relevant)

Sunday was so good at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Bible fellowship class and the worship service were tops!  After service Brother Brian invited me to have lunch with him and his family. The pot roast was great and how welcome was the sweet fellowship.  From there it was back to the church to spend time with Brother Jared.  This young man had quite a testimony of how God had opened his eyes and delivered him from a life of marijuana addiction.  Now Jared is addicted to God’s Word and wants to follow Christ for Life!  His worldview has changed to the point that he sees the pursuit of anything else to be vanity!   Jared needs direction, a solid game plan and continued resolve to pursue God’s will for his life.  I know some of the obstacles he will face going against the current of the world and the church.  Please pray for Jared; God’s direction, strength, protection and provision.  Amen

Wow, what a day this was after a sobering week.  I thought this was going to be the exclamation point here in Toledo.  But that was not the case.  Concerning my faith, I have wondered how or if I could hold out under extreme pain.  Sunday night brought the test, extreme pain almost to the point of passing out several times.  Praising God for who HE is, Praising God for my Salvation, on and on!  No matter what God is the same Yesterday Today and Forever!  No matter what Jesus is my Lord and Savior!  No matter what the Holy Spirit is within me!  Later I drove to ER and test results proved I had a kidney infection and kidney stones. Well that explains it.  This experience, happening away from home, family and friends left me feeling somewhat isolated. But God blessed me with Brother Kris three years ago and I was glad to be able to call him during this time.  And when I was in the ER God provided a Christian nurse to care for me!  About 3 a.m. I drove back to the church to sleep and Monday about noon I made ready and drove to the closest VA hospital which was at my next stop; Cleveland, Ohio.  There I was blessed to get the prescriptions filled.

One Way,Truth & Life. One Death, Resurrestion & Hope. JESUS!

Though I was weak and did not personally engage many in Toledo I am confident that the Lord is pleased.  I know that God has and will continue to show me how this weakness and pain is being worked for my good and for His Glory.  I’m mindful of the scripture which reads, “I desire a sacrifice of praise.”  I think in part that means praise when things are falling apart.  God has shown me that He is able to keep my mind on Him and God is able to put praises on my lips in extreme circumstances. So, to my delight He has increased my faith in Him to keep me no matter what may come. Praise God! Amen.

In closing, once again God has provided everything I had need of and by that I’m all the more certain that God is with me as I approach the next stop.  Your prayers, support and encouragement are highly regarded.  Until next week, God willing I write to you again.

Detroit, Michigan 2012

Detroit, Michigan 2012

Not so much to write about the auto capital of the world.  On arrival I stopped for coffee at a place called, Panera Cares. Which is a nonprofit clearing house having 8 local Panera’s.  People can come here and get a loaf of bread, coffee, pastry, meal and pay what they can.  It’s not a handout though.  You can get a full meal and if you cannot pay they ask that you help out for an hour.  Along the first we 6 months of the Journey that would have been great for me.  What proved to be a blessing this week were the people I met here.  The manager was so excited about the Jesus Truck, she sat down and we talked awhile. Later I met Cait Taylor who shared about a recent Missions trip to Africa she went on.  When Cait found that I needed a place to park for the week she insisted that I go to Beacon Baptist Church. I went and this was home base in Detroit.  The next morning I found a note on my truck, it was Cait checking to see if everything went okay.  That was so sweet Cait!

Detroit is a rather large city, though much of its former beauty can only be imagined.  Ford Motor Company and General Motors structures still loom large here.  Even still as I went about in and around this town there was something else that I had to imagine, “Jesus there has to be more people like Cait here.”  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday went by and with exception to one lady that said, “I had to follow you until you stopped so I could thank you for your witness here”.  I Praise God for that one dear sister and Thursday night I prayed for courage, strength and wisdom that I might finish strong.

Friday was much the same at least until I drove downtown about 4:30.  I noticed heightened security and people wearing blue and silver colors.  Well it didn’t take much to find out the Detroit Lions were hosting the Cleveland Browns for a preseason game at 7:00pm.  So I parked right on the street corner and there I would be for the next six hours.  This was a prime parking that cost $1 per hour.  Across the street it was $50 dollars to park so I happily fed the meter.   For the first two hours I just watched and listened but there was little joy in that.  Then I prayed for the boldness that it would require for me to climb onto the truck, lift the prop and secure it in place.  So it happened and the side of the prop displayed was the: Don’t Come Here! Jesus Saves!  I thought this will get things going and it did but not as much as usual.  One of the high points was hearing a man singing while playing his guitar as the crowds began to leave the stadium.  Many passed him by like he was not there, one nodded, one danced, a few glanced and one put some change in his guitar case.  I thought how this old man had learned much of what I was finding so uncomfortable in learning. I mean this week up until this moment I came to sing the sweetest song I know but all I remember was how; “many passed him by like he was not there, one nodded, one danced, a few glanced”.  This old man had learned to cherish the gift of singing, the portion in him enjoyed and maybe even more the portion that others might as well enjoy.  So steady was this old man. God used this to encourage me to keep steady and keep singing the sweetest song I know.  I walked up and asked, “Do you have a song to sing about Jesus?”  The old man looked up, smiled and played:  Check out the video it was neat to see a couple of people put money in the case.  That goes to show it pays to play for Jesus! Amen.  Back to the Jesus Truck, now it was dark outside and the prop was all lit up.  Hundreds of people streamed by as they left the stadium and I was singing the sweetest song I know. (Singing to myself)

Saturday, I went back to the Panera Cares that I mentioned earlier in this post.  While there I listened as two young men discussing biblical issues like sanctification, the sovereignty of God and mankind’s moral will.  I know, that’s a lot right?  After a while I introduced myself and we had a great time of fellowship and prayer.  I was encouraged seeing God has a remnant of people after His Heart right here in Detroit! Shortly afterwards I met another man there at Panera who had one testimony after another of God’s hand working on and through his life. So know you may understand how I started this post writing about Panera Cares; “What proved to be a blessing this week were the people I met here.”

Saturday evening I went to lift up the banner of Jesus Christ in a neighborhood that earlier this week seemed cold.  I found a good parking place and went inside the Fairfield Mall.  The next 3 hours weathered at this location were cold indeed.  Of many more than a hundred people passing by the cross I recall two taking delight in it.  Stranger to me was the dogmatic attention it was given by security personnel.  First it was one then two, three and four.  I watched some from inside and then I went outside and sat on the curb.  What’s was funny is I was close enough to hear some of their comments, then one of them that was out of uniform sat about 15 feet away from me and made a phone call inquiring how I could be arrested.  Can’t we do that because he’s advertising here and what about the way He parked so everyone can see?  That’s when funny stopped and prayer started, later I called Brother Kris Salyer so someone would know.  I watched as notes were taken, one security guard peered through the tinted glass with a flashlight and reported she saw a Christian store shopping bag, some sort of speaker and a Bible. Then she stated: “isn’t that weird?”  Though by now this had become somewhat intense I really had to hold back the outburst of laughter and even smiling about what she said!  Talk about the value of a poker face.  Well I was not as good as that and I needed a break. I went back inside hoping they would just go away.  Maybe I should explain some of the apprehension I had in that situation: I was by myself, not in my hometown, these people were against me for no lawful reason so a lot could be said, done and I’m the odd man out.  So I prayed and went back to the door.  Just then a car stopped, a lady got out, took a picture of the truck and said out load, “I don’t care who doesn’t like it!  Jesus is what it’s all about!”  That was the moment to move so I walked up to her, let her know that was my truck and asked her if she would watch me out of the parking lot.  She knew and expressed her disgust in the anti-Christian influence here.

When I got into the truck so did two security guards get in there vehicles and each posted ahead of my direction.  This would appear to be Showtime right?  Well for me for them ShowTime was when I made the move to get into my vehicle!  Once I pulled away it was over, they had lost any advantage they may have thought they had.  I was not under any legal obligation to stop and they had no legal reason to insist I do so.  Still I didn’t know what they might do.  But, Praise God!  He provided a way out as I left without incident.

Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending worship service at Beacon Baptist Church.  I appreciate how Pastor Herbert Gilbert made it clear that many who think they are saved will find out they are lost because they were never born again.  He passionately pleaded for them to come to Christ!  Amen.

The week in Detroit has been both bitter and sweet.  The bitter was the coldness to Jesus Christ.  The strain here for me must be nothing compared to the Christians who call this home.  God help them I plea!

America, oh how thou hast fallen asleep!  Wake up the doors of freedom are shutting all around you.  Put away all foolishness, flashy trinkets, worthless hobbies and false security’s that you may find the strength that endures all storms even to bring you home in Joy unspeakable……… Amen.

The sweetness I found was small numerically speaking, but that which I did find had a depth that is rare and precious to me.  I thank God for each one of you! Without that I cannot imagine I would ever desire to come here again.

Praise God! He Loves me, He Hears me, He Protects me, He Provides for me, He Leads me along Life’s Narrow Way!  He Lives! He Lives! Christ Jesus Lives Today!  You ask me how I know He Lives?  He Lives within my Heart!

Wow, I did not see that one coming.  I learned that hymn in a small wood framed structure known as: Enon Baptist Church located in Buckingham, VA.

Let me close with:  I love you all and am very thankful for all your prayers and every support you have been and may ever be to me along The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!

Grand Blanc, Michigan

Grand Blanc, Michigan 2012

The week I spent in Grand Blanc rises near the top of the towns I’ve been to date. There were no special attractions like; historic places, grand architectural structures and so on.  So what qualifies the statement, “Grand Blanc rises near the top of the towns I’ve been to date”?  It’s the dear people I met there and I was blessed to speak about the Lord at three gatherings!

Welcome to First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc, this was home base for the week which included electricity!

On Tuesday morning at Panera things started to get exciting. There I met two ladies Angela Benchley and Kathy Gomez.  They wanted to know about the Journey so you know I went on for a while.  What was more interesting was hearing their testimonies. Angela was writing a children’s book including illustrations and meeting with Kathy who has published books of her own.  Well the common bond between the two of them was Jesus!  Angela read us her book about a mouse named Dusty.  Dusty’s story was one that would sound familiar to most of us at least to some degree.  Dusty struggled with understanding the shifting between happy days and really sad ones. Dusty new there was a reason to hope and was on a journey of discovery.

Tuesday evening I was walking out of Wal-Mart, there were a few people admiring the Jesus truck.  That was the beginning of quite a scene.  Questions, answers, praying, rejoicing then more people and questions, answers, praying, rejoicing!  This went on nonstop for about forty minutes and at the polite request of management we dispersed.  Talk about spontaneous combustion, a riot, a party, the bomb……. yeah that’s the Joy of the Lord!

God working while I’m away!

Early Wednesday I remember thinking and then saying Lord it’s been a while, maybe more than a month since anyone’s handed me a few dollars.  Probably what prompted the thought was the rise in gas prices and I know I’ve gone into my piggy bank a few times. Not to worry at all I’m well and have everything I need.  Moving on through Wednesday, I spent most of the day in downtown Flint.  Unfortunately the response to the message of the Cross was bland.

That evening while I sat at the picnic table reading the Word, a car pulled up, a man go out and he introduced himself.  Remember on Tuesday the two ladies I met Kathy and Angela? This man is Kathy’s pastor.  Pastor Banks of New Creation Church of God invited me to come and speak to his congregation Sunday at 11am.  Later I went on a wild goose chase.  I drove more than 30 miles to the nearest Chic Fila just to find out they were closed.  And that store may be the only one in the state.  The second most notable fact is how cold the response was to the cross and I need to reemphasize Cold. (Jeers, Mocking, Smirks …….)  During the drive back to Grand Blanc I began to think what a waste of time and gas.  Just then the Holy Spirit assured me that was not the case.  Reminding me how He is always at work. So, all was well with my soul.

Now on to Thursday, remember Angela whom I met on Tuesday? Angela had invited me to attend a DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) group she facilitated at Holy Family School in Grand Blanc.  I thought I’m not sure the school would be excited if my truck was there.  I wanted to go in support of Angela and to see if the Lord would use me to encourage those attending.   Angela went to Father Bush and it was a go so out the window went my excuse!  There I met some very nice people and as they shared bits of their lives my heart was full of compassion to the point of despair.  I mean the effect of sin in the world and the way it robs us all from the fullness of life is something I hate.  But God has not abandoned or left us as orphans!  So I was able to speak of God and the only Hope we have which is through Jesus.  We closed out by joining hands and taking turns praying.  Then most everyone went out to the Jesus truck for a group picture.

Friday morning I found a note on my truck window; “Come to the office.” For a moment I felt like I was in school but I don’t remember getting a note like that at school.  Maybe that’s selective memory.  So I went to the church office and Mary told me a member of the church wanted to find out if there was any way He could be a part of my ministry.  She gave me his name (“Joseph Solomon”) and phone number.  I called Joseph and we met at 5pm for about an hour and half.  Joseph is 32, has been in the Army reserves for 10 years and is eager to walk away from everything to serve the Lord.  God has given him a desire to know and do the Word.  Throughout our discussion the passion to follow Christ was evident and that Joseph has been in the Word.  Those of you who know me may take stock when I write; through the entire interview process I found no contradiction to sound doctrine and having gone through what it cost to follow Christ as a Disciple including some of the particulars I’ve learned to be inherit with the Journey I did not perceive any apprehensiveness in Joseph.  After this meeting Joseph was off to serve his weekend duty.  As you may imagine I was excited.  So I met with Dan who is Joseph’s Sunday school teacher and later I met with the Pastor and some members of the church.  Everything looks good. I talked to Brother Kris Salyer in Louisville, KY and here’s the game plan; Joseph needs to get a couple weeks on the job training.  Then if it’s still a go I asked the church to consider helping raise support for food and other basic needs for Joseph.  Monday morning I met with Joseph and we went over the game plan.  He hopes to join me for two weeks after I finish this week in Detroit.  Please keep Joseph and I in your prayers that God’s perfect will be done in this.

Meet Brother Joseph Solomon

As for Saturday I don’t recall much of anything and maybe that’s because Sunday was going to be a bang.

Sunday morning started with 9:30 worship service at First Baptist Church.  About 15 minutes into the service Pastor Foltz motioned for me to come forward.  I looked at him, pointed to myself and He nodded so here I go.  He introduced me and asked that I share a little about my journey with the congregation.  So from the pulpit I said, “It’s times like these that I depend on the Holy Spirit to give me the words to speak”.  And Praise God He did.  Later when Pastor Foltz finished preaching I made a bee line to New Creation Church of God for 11:00 a.m. service.

Soon after arriving at New Creation Church of God the little anxiety I had about speaking to more than 300 in attendance was gone.  The Spirit of Worship was already there.  Pastor Banks and the Elders received me in the Love of Christ and it’s like they provided a covering.  I don’t know how that may sound to you but those are the words I’ve chosen. What I do know is how sweet it was to see a congregation as diverse as the community gathered in the name of Jesus to Worship God. (Just to be clear diverse as in: ethnicity, economically and educational.)  Another part of the sweetness was how the worship was alive, emotional, praises and adoration being offered up to The Throne of God. Later Pastor Banks had a picture of the Jesus truck put on the big screen, introduced me and handed me microphone.  You may not know it but in the past when someone handed me a microphone it was like oh I don’t need that, kind of like an allergic response. Well not this time. So speaking of God’s working in my life saving me from my sins, testifying of how God through the Holy Spirit made me able to put away the desire for materialistic stuff, to put away spending time doing things that in the end are meaningless and how now I know Jesus, the presence of the Holy Spirit and the Love of God!!!  All this to say I almost missed eternal life and the abundant Life that can start here and now!  Amen.  I needed to stop as I write this because so much emotion is involved.  Praise God for that also!!

Then came the grand finally, Pastor Banks went to preaching with what I call surety, love and maintaining holy reverence towards God.  This went on for quite a while and what I mean is the place was saturated with the Word.  After the service many of those present expressed their appreciation and love.  Quick note: (I arrived at 11am the worship was already going on and I left about 1:45pm). That’s Sweet!

Thank you, New Creation Church of God.

The remainder of the day was invested in meetings and prayer concerning Brother Joseph Solomon.

Speaking of Joseph, he called me Sunday night when he got in from duty.  Monday morning I met with Joseph and I shared with him that I met with Dan, Pastor Foltz and other members of the church and we went over the game plan.  Joseph hopes to join me for two weeks after I finish this week in Detroit.  Please keep Joseph and I in your prayers that God’s perfect will be done in this.

One update before I close:  I wrote that Wednesday morning I thought and brought to the Lords attention that it may have been more than a month since anyone handed me a few dollars.  No one else knew this!  Well Thursday things changed starting with a twenty dollar bill and here’s a picture of the rest.  Here again is proof solid that the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is real!  Another proof is that He is not far, far away!!!  Its events like these that no other so called gods can do!!! Believe me when I meet people that worship other so called gods I ask them to tell me if they have ever had a need that no one else knew about, took it to their god and it provided.  To date no one has been able to say categorically yes.  If I were a lawyer this is where I would say; “I rest my case”.

Here’s the Cash! Grand Blanc, MI 2012

Oh and besides the cash someone bought my lunch, another gave me a cross, then I received a book and maybe the best of gifts was a hug. After the case I made about the money maybe someone would say; “Well you did not specifically ask God for these things so they are mere coincidences and no way could you claim your God did it”.  To which I might reply my friend to the letter by which I made the first case I concur with you.  But that you may consider, it’s without asking the God that I serve that He provides for me daily out of the abundance of His Love for Me.  What’s all the more; the God that does this for me wants to do the same for You.  My Dear Colleague please allow me the distinct honor of introducing to you: Jesus Christ…..

I held on to one more card just in case. “All the other gifts came by way of a common thread namely: “Jesus Christ”.

Wow, this might be the longest post to date and I probably don’t need to tell you that the week spent in Grand Blanc, MI was incredible in many ways but I can’t help it.  So a quick recap: Monday God provided a safe place for me to stay with electricity!  Tuesday God blessed me in meeting Kathy and Angela! Tuesday evening the Spirit of God moved in Wal-Mart’s parking lot effectuating rejoicing in the Lord. Wednesday God blessed me with an invitation to speak of the great things He has done. Thursday God blessed me by opening a door at The Holy Family School so I could meet and encourage the dear people attending DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) group.  Friday God blessed me to meet Joseph Solomon, a man after God’s heart, a man willing to walk away from the world and in other words a man willing to deny himself daily and take up his cross to follow Jesus!  Saturday God blessed me abundantly as He does daily i.e. meeting every need and ……………………   Sunday God blessed me with the honor to speak about the experiential relationship that Jesus Christ wants to give to each and every one of the more than 400 souls in attendance.

One more BIG thing, Thanks for Every Prayer, Every Encouragement and Every Gift from Everyone back Home and from Everyone I’ve met along the way of, “The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!”

Lansing, Michigan 2012

Lansing, Michigan 2012

Lansing was stop 35 of 200 along “The Journey…….”  That’s the idea but, “who knows what may happen today”.  Things started off well and the remainder of the week went pretty smooth.

One of the joys here was the reception and fellowship with Pastor Gene Harris and the members at Faith Bible Church.

I tried something new with regard to setting up for parking lot ministry.  On Monday I submitted written requests for approval to do parking lot ministry at 2 Wal-Mart’s. Both were received well and I was told to expect to hear from them by Thursday.  The start of the week was as usual, getting familiar with the new surroundings and looking for places and possible events to focus my efforts.  After two days nothing really stood out other than I had not met anyone that was just plain excited about Jesus!

Downtown Lansing, MI 2012

Wednesday evening I found a coin operated car wash, I pulled in only to find that I had no quarters. I left to go get some change and on the way back I noticed a man standing outside a shop and it looked as if he was motioning to me.  Well I really didn’t know what it was about and kept going.  Then I decided I would go a couple of blocks and back track coming in behind where He was to find out.  After all things seemed a bit humdrum so why not?  Well I was in for a surprise; this guy was so jacked up about the Jesus truck!  If I remember right he wasn’t saved and He wanted to know all about it.  So I got to share my testimony and the gospel with Him and his friends.  Praise God for this Gaza road experience.  Oh there’s more, remember just earlier I was headed back to the coin operated car wash?  Well this young man had just opened up for business detailing cars and insisted I let them wash the truck.  He was not going to take no for an answer so they washed it and did the wheels.  Talk about God moving, I could have written this one off but I was compelled to go back and what a blessing it was.  I met some dear friends that I won’t soon forget and the truck has not been thoroughly washed for a while since I’m on the road and can only pull in a few feet to spray it off. Best of all, I just may see them in the kingdom of God!

My Friends at Precision DNC Car Care.

Moving on, after the Wednesday evening service pastor Gene offered to take me to breakfast the next morning.  So Thursday we had breakfast and great fellowship.   Afterwards we stopped at the City Rescue Mission of Lansing; there I met some of the staff and the director. Later I dropped Pastor Gene off at the church and it was back to the streets.

Remember the two requests I put in for approval to do parking lot ministry? Well I heard from both of them and it was a no go.  I’m not sure but maybe Nike has it right, “Just do it”?  I tell you it takes more courage to just do it especially up north but then again nothing ventured – nothing gained.  Later that evening I received a call from Lansing missions asking if I would like to preach Friday night at 7pm.   How about that for excitement?  That’s God! Now instead of trolling in the parking lot I would have a captive audience of about 60.  The thing is I had about 24 hours to seek the Lord and prepare to speak and that’s just what I did.  It took every bit of that time and as I drove downtown to preach the doubts and hints of fear came. Well this was not the first time; notice I said “hints of fear” and that’s where it stops.  This enemy is very predictable so I go to the Lord and cast my burdens on Him.  I admit that in and of myself I am helpless to do such a task unless; The Holy Spirit shows up and does it all through me.  Praise the Lord!  Every time I humble myself and call on Him I am comforted, encouraged that perfect Love cast out all fear, to trust Him and go.  So that’s how it stops at “hints of fear” not growing into fear that cripples.  So, onward Christian soldier it was. Then one more obstacle presented itself but God came through!  For about the next 40 minutes the believers were exhorted to know the Word, to examine self to see if they are in the faith.  The hope for the unbelievers was that they would get a picture of what it means to deny self, turn away from loving the things of the world in exchange for loving and following Christ.  Woven through this was the Holiness of God, the Total Depravity of Man because of Sin, God’s Son Crucified to save Sinners and closing with a passionate Plea to come to Christ just as you are!  I know that was a lot of information so I prepared copies of my outline including the scriptures and they were given out at the end.  God only knows how fruitful these 40 minutes will prove to be but I know its 40 minutes that God richly blessed me.  Amen

Saturday it was business as usual and then Sunday the main event was Worship Service at Faith Baptist Church.  It’s always a joy to find believers who maintain a Holy Reverence for God and the Passion to Fulfill the Great Commission.

Now that another week of events is history, so are my days to share Jesus.  Though no reason to fret because my faith has increased knowing that my redemption is closer than when I wrote you last.  Please that I may encourage you to free yourself from the things of the world that bid for your time, energies and resources. Jesus came to give us Life and Life more abundantly.  That Life is a Life surrendered to follow Him and true Joy is inherent.

I hope to write again next week.  May you grow in the Graces of the Lord Jesus Christ.     Agape, David
