Cincinnati, Ohio 2012

Hello Everyone,

Hello, everyone! Agape

As my visit to the Big City of Cincinnati draws to an end I have mixed emotions.  The Lord blessed me to arrive safely and in time to attend Sunday school and the morning worship service at Banklick Christian Church.  I like the name because it reminds of how the Churches were addressed by the new testament writers. (To the church at Corinth The Church at Ephesus and so on).  More particularly I enjoyed the fellowship, teaching, worship and the preaching of the Word.  Those of you who know me well are aware of how much I enjoy the finer things in life.  Oh and just to be clear for the most of my life that meant the finer things of the world but now it is in seeing God at work in transforming lives by the Power of His Word.  I was at home here at Banklick and the meal after the service was great!  There are a few things that I should mention; this church is about 12 miles south of downtown Cincinnati in Fort Mitchell, KY. My dear brother Kris Salyer excepted the position as Minister here in January so of course I have to say his preaching was great and it really was!   Another thing is that Kris took his vacation to go with me for the how week in Cincinnati.  So after the fellowship we set sail.

Free admission to The Creation Museum! Praise JESUS!!!

As usual I like to get acquainted with a local church and despite the rarity of finding Sunday evening service the Lord provided. Kris and I had the pleasure of hearing a powerful sermon about supporting Missions, Missionaries and fellow laborers in Christ.  That was great as it looked like God had led us just to the right place since we needed a place to park and camp overnight.  I’ll just say that it did’nt go over as well as the, “sermon preached”.  But praise God that through past experiences this one did not take be back like those of the past.  Now that I know as James wrote in Chapter 1: “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience….”  Thanks for your Word Lord and thank you Bridget NY. (The Lord used this dear sister a couple of months ago to challenge me to memorize James Chapters 1 and 2).  As it turned out Banklick Christian Church was home base for the week.

The rest of the week went by so fast and I’m having a difficult time remembering the events of each day but here are some of the highlights;  Parking in Walmart parking lots around the city proved to be fruitful as many were drawn by the Cross and the praise and worship music being played.  Kris and I were so blessed by each and every person that stopped to find out what this was all about, to encourage us and to share testimonies. The Lord had prepared hearts to hear the Gospel,  some had a hunger for the truth of the Word.   Something I should let you know about Kris, he will talk as long as a person will listen and that’s good because I get tired.  Some of you may be thinking, when David gets started he goes and goes and goes.  Well maybe, but Kris keeps going.

Answering HisCall 2012 Kris Salyer

Well back to the story. One of the most memorable events of the week was in the Walmart parking lot.  Using the audio and video, playing clips from the Passion of The Christ movie and listening to Kari Jobe (CD) singing praises to God across the entire parking lot the stage was set for God to move.  God did just that and before long a peculiar group of men and women had gathered, speaking what great things the Lord had done in various ways to redeem them from eternal destruction.  Through words,  motions and singing praises these men and women were unashamed of the gospel!   Not one of them was content to stand still as if being born again was something to be realized only in the age to come.  Then on public display before the world; with hands joined and heads bowed, went prayers of thanksgiving and dependence on God to finish what He had started and ………………… Amen.  I don’t have adequate words but I am confident this was a sweet smelling sacrifice that reached The Throne of God!

Another memorable event was Wednesday evening in downtown Cincinnati.  The Lord provided parking at the entrance where the Broadway show, “La Miserables” was being shown with hundreds in attendance.  The restaurants around us us were busling as well so the stage was set and the 3 hour wait for the show to end was on.  And just before the show let out Kris and I hoisted the, “Don’t Come Here!” prop in the bed of the truck and turned the lights on!  When the show was over, the masses walked by and on those faces were a myriad of expressions!  Sad was the fact that so many others seemed indifferent.  Non the less I am hopeful that God used this in some measure as seed sown into good ground.  Amen.

The entire week was filled with many encounters and each one different from the other.  God provided everything in abundance and reflecting back on last week,  I’m encouraged about what God can do through two small and weak men to impact many for “JESUS Christ”.

a quote by: Martin Luther and I say Amen!

In concluding:  To all the dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ that we had the pleasure of meeting, being encouraged by, being prayed for and who provided for us: Thank’s to All of You!

To the brethren back in Virginia and those I’ve met along this journey,  You are dear to my heart and I thank you for your support in prayer and every other way that you do.  Because of these I’m confident that, God has moved to provide for me; Safety, Health, Financially and JOY!  I Praise God for You All and I pray that the fruit of my labor will greatly abound to your accounts Eternally.  Amen.

Now, the most difficult thanks to write this day …………………………………………..Lord help me………… goes out to my Brother Kristopher James Salyer,  Thank You!  PRAISE GOD!! Amen.

Until next week about this time and God willing I’ll write about Indiappolis Indiana.

Columbus, Ohio 2012

  Hello, Columbus Ohio!

Wow this City is Big and I guess that is relative to the last 3 stops in WV.
The drive here took a bit longer that I anticipated so I arrived at Lane Avenue Baptist Church just in time to celebrate in the Lords Supper.  There I was provided a place to park this week, electricity and all!  Praise JESUS and thank you Pastor!

The weather was nice, so off to explore downtown Columbus. There, I enjoyed the park along the river, some of the architecture was grand and some of the outdoor decorum seemed good to use as a platform, background to share God’s Word.  One predominant perception throughout the day was a non responsiveness to the banner of Christ and the Cross.

The Judgement of JESUS Christ!!

 The Judgment of Christ

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He
will sit on His glorious throne.  “All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.  “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom
prepared for you  from the foundation of the world.  ‘For  I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a
stranger, and you invited Me in;  naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’  “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to
drink?  ‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?  ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  “The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ “Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”        Matt 25:31-46

That preaching looks (picture) and sounds (the Word) pretty good yes?   Well when it all comes together maybe the two will be combined into a video.  But please pray because it will take an act of God for this to happen.  Amen.

Monday started out slow but later that evening God sent some dear people to inquire about the Cross and before long the Truth of God’s Word, the Power of His Spirit and the Love of Jesus Christ was rejoiced in, right in the middle of the parking lot. Talk about getting amped up after a slow start!

First Baptist Church, Columbus Ohio

On Wednesday, I went to a well known church in Columbus for 7pm service.  Sad to
report, but my heart was sorely grieved.  What happened to Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty?  Well of course HE Is, He Was and He Is to Come!  What about; Godly contentment is great gain!  What about, with food and clothing be therewith content?  Bottom line I’m fully convinced that if one has “your best life now” then the eternal state of the soul is destruction.  Second, for anyone to suggest offering God money in exchange for the worldly desire of the heart is absolutely wrong.  How about,
“Do not tempt, The Lord your God”.   Please that I may not be misunderstood, I love the people and I pray that God will show them the Truth just as He has been faithful to deliver me from the schemes of the evil one.  Amen

Contending for the Faith!

Well during this past week as a whole there has been a coldness to the cross here.
But in the poor districts were many are afraid to go, I found those people to be more receptive and I praise The Lord for them.  On the uppity side of town without vulgar
words the idea of JESUS and the cross was met with mockery mostly by laughter,
sneers and statements like “you know that has to be the result of retardation”.   Then another comment was, ” now that’s what I call going to far with it”.  To which I say~ Amen.  That is the fact JESUS did condescend to to take on the form of flesh and go to the cross to pay for our sins!  Now after saying that I know that He went exactly as far as was necessary to save all that would come by faith unto eternal life. Praise You JESUS!!!

Staying on the same topic and moving to Friday evening, the insolent words and sign language increased and thank God for the rain!  The rain?  Yes, the rain that sometimes stifles our plans; I can now be thankful for as I’m sure that God sends the rain to put a
damper on the devils work!  Was that an Amen?

Almost had alot of pumpkin pie to eat!

Overall this week has been somewhat low keyed and I am again thankful for the brothers and sisters God has sent that we might be encouraged by one another.  And a big thanks to Lane Avenue Baptist Church for the brotherly love they extended to me.

In a few hours and God willing I will set out for Cincinnati, Ohio.  Much of this week
I’ve been in anticipation about Cincinnati as my brother in the Lord; Kris Salyer from Louisville, KY will join me to share JESUS the entire week.  Please pray for us that we would be the Salt and the Light, that is: be obedient to the commands of our Lord.

Keep praying because I know God continues to bless me everyday on, “The Journey 50 States one True Story JESUS”!

Huntington, West Virginia 2012

Finishing up a week in Huntington that’s been great in numerous ways.  Yet I’m somewhat disappointed by how much the weather came into play.  The week started off windy and cold then it got windy and cold. Finally the rain came and then on the last day Sunshine and Mid Sixties!   The best thing in all this is that the Lord sustained me by sending encouragement at just the right times, He gave me the strength and the courage to keep going even when it looked like I may get sick literally.  Here are a few things that happened here this week;

As usual I visit a local church when I get into town and I did the same this week.  What a joy it is to worship, hear good preaching and meeting brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Well looking back last week at the baptism issue I wanted to be prepared.  So on Sunday I found two places;  The Ohio River and a indoor pool!  Yes I found the river first and then the pool.  No baptisms this week but better to be prepared.  Oh, in case you were wondering the pool would have been the first choice!

Took this picture while checking out the Ohio River banks.

Flying The Banner of Victory in Jesus Christ!

Next, the journey in West Virginia has proven to be challenging at times and on a couple of occasions this past week crossing the terrain can best be described in this picture.

Narrow Road Huntington, WV 2012

Narrow and One Way?  Talk about faith, I mean not knowing how long this may go and what if I met traffic?  Really, I could not pull over and backing up with a trailer in tow was out of the question. Just one more time God has been faithful to see me through. Whew!

This past week there’s one thing that stands out the most;  It’s the time I was privileged to spend with the people at the, Huntington City Mission – Dining Hall and Men’s Shelter.  To hear the testimonies of how God has and is working in the lives of many here was incredible.  Having meals together was very humbling at first and then I looked forward to more of the same.  The dedication of the staff and the volunteers was so encouraging.  What makes this so grand is that it’s all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ!  This program is not a simple handout, it’s about changing men’s lives so the can go from here, better equipped to face the challenges of everyday life and to be the men God has called them to be.  The last two stops I’ve written that it was hard to leave the towns but it’s not the town so much this time as it is the people here at Huntington City Mission.

Huntington City Mission 2012

This week I met so many beautiful people in the Walmart parking lot, downtown Huntington, and surrounding towns.  Some of them really not sure how or why such a sight bearing the Cross came their way.  I would have to agree with many of them because this week has been one that was of the beaten path at times.  But then again I know that even in my miscues, wrong turns and all – God has a way to work it for Good!

A big thank you to the staff of Walmart,  The Huntington YMCA and The City of Huntington!

A special thanks to everyone that stopped to encourage me, that patiently listened,  who shared their testimonies, to those I was blessed to pray with and for, to the men God sent to share wisdom in The Word.

I know this is a short post and the time of night is getting late as in a few hours It’s off to Columbus, Ohio.  So for the sake of a good nights rest I’ll end by saying thank you for your prayers and support!  This goes out to all my friend’s and family back home in Chester, VA and the ones I’ve met along; The Journey 50 States One True Story JESUS!

May God bless You and keep You and make His face to Shine upon You.  Amen

God willing I’ll write to you again soon.      Agape,    David

Capitol City Charleston, WV 2012

  Welcome to Charleston WV 2012!

After the week I had in Beckley I was wondering what was just ahead. So let me share with you a bit of 7 days in Charleston.

The night before I left, I did a Google search of churches and there where many but one stood out; Randolph Street Baptist Church. Sunday morning I set out for Charleston and wow the freshly clothed trees made the mountains so beautiful, that even the roar of the engine gulping fuel to cross them could not dim the majesty of God’s work.

Safely arriving (after looking at the mountains more than the road) in the capitol city of West Virginia, what better way to start the week than to Praise God, Hear His Word and to Fellowship with the Body of Christ? Praise God, that’s exactly what took place! The corporate Worship, the Word preached in Love and Truth and afterwards the Fellowship gathering was so sweet. These brothers and sisters demonstrated the Love of Christ to me. Even more their passion of fulfilling The Great Commission, “All to the Glory of God” caused my spirit to rejoice. If you happen to live or travel near you would do well to experience God’s Spirit working here at Randolph Street Baptist Church. Please pray for this body of believers as they continue pursuing all things to The Praise and Glory of God.

Now to find a place to park would it be Wal-Mart again?  Two thoughts: Would God’s favor be extended again so that I could be there all week?  Second, I remembered the weight of living in a public parking lot.  But off to Wal-Mart and God’s favor was extended again.

Now what appeals could I make to the Lord about not staying here?  How about electricity?  Or, 24 hours a day vehicles are going by?  What about the people on foot and the one’s that seem to be parking and watching me?  Well a Church parking lot might be safer too!  Just then the Lord made me mindful of the numbers of people that could be impacted, how it’s much easier to gather in and around the church building.  The Lord really spoke to me; how we are all called to go out of our comfort zone trusting in Him to do the work. In this I understood a little more “The spirit is willing but the flesh is week”.  After all, how much faith does it take to gather in the building and parking lot of the church?  Okay Holy Spirit, with God all things are possible, the Wal-Mart parking lot it is.

Having set up and been here a week, the increased volume of traffic has been great.  The Lord has sent many to encourage me; I’ve been blessed to share my testimony, to hear the testimonies of others and to pray with many.  The Lord increased my faith so I was not so bothered by the spectator’s watching but not approaching.  A couple of evenings I opened the Cargo trailer ramp door and played Praise and Worship music.  Many stopped to voice their approval and the Lord provided some gas money (I know that God heard the roar of the engine crossing the mountains that He formed).  Thank you Lord for being so personally acquainted with your children!

Even in Clouds the Cross Shines!

Thursday night I tailgated (sitting on the tailgate of the truck) and like at the drive in theater I watched The Gospel of John movie.  I know that must have appeared odd to those parking lot spies and what came to mind was; this is another way the Lord is preparing me to be Unashamed of The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Union Mission Crossroads Charleston, WV

Oh, On Wednesday while serving the homeless at Union Mission Crossroads and sharing the gospel I witnessed God at work through me to bring a man to Godly sorrow which led to repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and eternal life!  Praise God!  In the excitement of this I did not tell him of the importance of Baptism.  In fact I was sharing this with my Brother Kris Salyer in Louisville, KY.  Kris asked if Russell had been baptized.  I felt a pit in my stomach, I had shared the gospel, told Russell about the importance of being in good bible believing church, of learning God’s Word and I had given Russell a Bible.  On Friday I went to Union Mission Crossroads and thank The Lord, Russell was there to greet me with a big smile and expressed excitement about Him going to the Lord and thanking Him for Eternal Life!  Again Praise God!  Now I was able to tell Russell about Baptism, the importance of indentifying with the Birth, Death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  And how in Acts we see that is when people were added to the Church (The Body of Christ).  Russell said, “I want to, I need to be baptized then”.  I told him I would try to find out where we could go to do this, that I would be back shortly and off I went.  Just a few minutes later I approached the Pastor whose congregation was serving the evening meal.  Before I was able to ask the pastor about a place to baptize Russell, a lady approached and asked me a question and the conversation turned to the gospel.  She said that she had walked the isle years ago, I asked her if she had been baptized and was told no.  Well, I went on to explain to her just what I had to Russell and she was willing to be baptized.

Wow that was so cool!  Two people right here and willing now!  Well then, I turned to the pastor who had heard this whole conversation, told him I was from out of town and asked how and where this baptism could be done.  His reply was, “I don’t know” and then he walked away!  Talk about being taken back!  “I don’t know”!  What does that mean?  Really, how can that be?  Am I to believe that He, as a pastor has no idea what to do or where to go when someone wants to be baptized into the body of Jesus Christ?  I’m sorry, but it’s easier for me to believe that he may not be saved.  Maybe this seems to be harsh but the fact that I didn’t go after and confront Him while I was upset took the power of the Holy Spirit!  As I see it, grace was extended to him.  Remaining calm in front of this lady and assuring her I would find out was entirely of the Lord.  So next I got Russell’s and this lady’s full name and address.  I contacted Randolph Street Baptist Church who assured me they would follow up with both of them.  So I told this to both of these dear friends and they were excited.  Praise God!  Again I say Praise God!  Amen.

Russell at Union Mission Crossroads

Would you believe that just writing the last paragraph wore me out?  I mean, all the emotions which are attached are incredible at times.  I’m so glad the Lord renews our strength daily.  And to be able to share these things with you is beneficial to me, I doubt I’ll ever need a shrink (ha, ha, ha).

This week has been rich in numerous ways.  I can’t count the beautiful people I meet this week having enjoyed conversations, hearing of testimonies, praying for needs and loved ones to be saved, giving and been given to, encouraging and being encouraged.  All this was God’s Spirit at work here in Charleston, WV.  Thank You: “Father, Son and Holy Spirit” Amen.

Well it’s raining this Saturday evening and that’s right on time, a restful evening before the next town of Huntington, WV.  Please note that on a few occasions I have been told of the harsh environment just ahead.  So please pray for me and the people there that God would cause them to see the gospel of Jesus Christ as a Love Story. How God desires them to be saved from His Fierce, Righteous and Holy Wrath that we all deserve.  And how the work, Jesus accomplished on the Cross was God’s Love Demonstrated so we could have Eternal Life!

God willing, I’ll write to you again next week about this time. Thank you for the prayers and support.  Be strong in the faith and step out of your comfort zone this week and see what God will do.  I’m sure you will be surprised and not disappointed.

In the Love of Christ, May you grow in His Graces.     Agape, David

Just for Fun! Tony NY I’ll work on the “T”

P.S.  Sorry for the small Front hope to fix this Soon.

Beckley, West Virginia 2012

Wow, Really Cool, Awesome and I could go on with the adjectives.  God has done it again. What I mean is, just like the very first stop in Lynch, KY;  God brought me to this town and in a week I’ve met many dear brothers and sisters that love the Lord Jesus so much that it’s hard to say goodbye.  Well let me make mention of a few ways I’ve been blessed this week in Beckley:

Last Sunday morning (Resurrection Sunday),  I arrived and stopped for the morning service at Bible Baptist Church and it was incredible,  the support for missions, sharing the Gospel, the preaching of The Word and the Love that was extended to me will long be in my memory.

Then off to find a place to park and what a better place to meet people and to fly the banner of The Lord Jesus Christ, than the Walmart in Beckley.  Here again God’s favor was extended to me as management gave me permission to park there all week and even to unhook the trailer from the truck.  In case you don’t know parking is usually limited to 1 night and unhooking trailer from the vehicle is uncommon.  Those of you that know me will not be surprised to hear that I made the most of this by parking in the most visable location.  This location in Beckley proved to be very fruitful in sharing the gospel, encouraging and being encouraged by the brethren.  Thank you God and Walmart of Beckley.

Sunday evening I was invited to go to Appalachian Bible College to hear about the students recent missions trip to NY City, to share with them about street ministry and to encourage them in being unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Well here God blessed me again in that I was so encouraged by the passion of these young men and women, to hear their testimony’s and how God worked through them in ways they did’nt expect and despite their differences they moved as a a team in one accord.  I’m excited about what God is going to do in them in the days and years ahead.  Please lift these brothers and sisters up in prayer.    Another way God blessed me is that He sent some of these students to labor along side of me in the days ahead and that was really awesome.

Moving forward to Thursday evening in the Walmart parking lot I met a man that stopped and chatted for a few minutes, then He said I don’t know why but I want to show you something just up the road a mile or two and it won’t take very long.  With a little uncertainty I followed Him and we pulled up to a baseball stadium and the first thing I noticed was an inscription in granite on the wall which reads; “To God Be The Glory” further down “LET US RISE UP AND BUILD” Neh. 2:18, then “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” Matt.19:26, next “WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE”, further down “IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE SHALL DIRECT YOUR PATHS” Prov. 3:6, and last “AND IF ANYONE SAYS TO YOU, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? SAY, THE LORD HAS NEED OF IT”. Mark 11:3.  So after got over the excitement of this part The guy that led me here Danny Flores assistant coach, trainer, marketing director told me about this place built by the Epling’s a Christian family and dedicated to bring glory to God.  I had the pleasure of meeting most of the Epling’s and what joy to see them working side by side for the Lord.  The Stadium is called; The Linda K. Epling Stadium, Home of the West Virginia Minors and is about three years old, with no grass or clay just astroturf.

Home of The West Virginia Miners

Danny took me on a full tour, box seats, media room and all.  Think about area little leagues playing in a facility like this and during the summer months college players from around the country come here to sharpen their skills and to compete. Some of these players go on to be drafted to play major league ball. This a great alternative to roaming the streets during summer break.  Training and conditioning go on throughout the year.  Later I was informed of 2 games scheduled for Friday and 6 games for Saturday.  Then I was invited to be their guest, truck trailer and all.  It gets even better.  I could set up right at the entrance to do ministry and was encouraged to play Christian music and all. How sweet was that?  Oh, check this out; after 5 nights in a public parking lot with low temps in the twenties, no lights or heat this was really big.  What I mean is; a quite place and electricity.  I relocated Friday and set up (see the pictures). Pretty cool yeah?  Friday night  Danny and I went out to fellowship, eat and then to a Dirt Track Race.  Dust and all this was so much fun.  Yes, I had fun and I’m not backsliding ~Tony NY (my best friend in The Lord).   I was so blessed to meet many more beautiful people Saturday.  This week it was incredible to see many of the ways God is at work here in Beckley.

In closing;  I’m taken by God’s providing such an inspiring and memorable week in this the first stop along “The Journey 2012”.  With the sincerest of gratitude I’m thankful for everyone that has blessed and encouraged me in Beckley, West Virginia.  I leave better prepared to; “Fly The Banner of Our Lord Jesus Christ”.

So off to Charleston, WV and God willing about this time next week I write to you again.  Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

With the greatest Love of Christ, I appeal to you all; Walk away from the distractions of the world so you may fall all the more in Love with Jesus!  You can know what it is to live the meaningful and fulfilled life that Jesus came to give You

 Now and Eternally!

Praise God! On Mission 2012.

Arrived in Beckley West Virginia on Ressurrection Sunday and Wow what a day!  I’ll leave you with that and God willing in a week I’ll update what God has done here.     Please pray for me and the people here in Beckley.         Agape, David

The Journey Continues March 2012

Wow, It’s been a while and God has worked all things for my good.  Last I wrote to you I was discouraged about retreating.  I was’nt looking at how incredible it was to be able to make it for Six months.  I can tell you that since then, God has kept me steadfast in the faith of our Lord “Jesus Christ”.   I have been blessed to serve others in many ways and been awed and amazed time and again by God.  I hope to share many testimonies but for now here’s one of the latest;

About the first week of last November in prayer I said God, I know I should be on the road……..  And I’m willing to downsize again.  Meaning to sell or give away the 27′ camper that had been my home for the past 3 years and clear out the 5’x5′ storage unit .  I said, it would be great to have a used 12′ x 7′ v-nose cargo trailer.  I could put my bed in it, have a place to sit down and in the very rear I could have audio and video for public ministry and so on……  Then I spent the last 3 weeks of November in Louisville, KY doing ministry with my dear brother Kris Salyer.  Talk about God moving, just look back at my first trip to Louisville. Every where I turned opposition came and it was very clear that the Cross of Christ and the Gospel was not welcome at all.  This time God moved and without any notice given to me,  HE opened the door and literally split open a sea of people (more than 70,000) so that the banner of Jesus Christ (HIS work on The Cross) not only made it to the center but remained there for more than One Hour and Forty minutes.  I mean God moved, He showed me the opportunity and I believed to the point that I walked up to the personel manning the barricades, asked permission to follow the Toys for Tots – Santa Float in at the Light up Louisville event. This was the only entry and was escorted by officers on four wheelers front and back all the way to center stage.  Well they said yes, so when the Toys for Tots came by I fell in line and the rest you might say is history.  But maybe I should tell you that once inside the sea of people closed in and it was about an hour and forty minutes before they began to disperse when I noticed about 6 officers approaching.  Well lets just say the one speaking was pretty adament about me leaving yesterday, saying there’s no way I should have gotten in and of course I was compliant.  Remember I fell in line and followed the officers on four wheelers (within 12 feet for several blocks) all the way and my truck is noticable and very loud.  So I say, “God made the way and ev

God made the way.

Light Up Louisville 2011!

en kept some from seeing”.  What do you think?

Well, this is one of many ways that God has awed me.   I guess I should get back to what I prayed about.  So when I was back in Virginia about 2 hours, I found out that the cargo trailer I had prayed about was for sale and and less than five minutes from home! Oh, it had just been listed for sale the night before, a used 12’x7′ v-nose cargo trailer, air conditioned, insulated and wired.  Okay now for the obsticle, the price was reasonable but I did not have anything to give him except what I shared with you about my prayer with God.   To be continued:

The Grace Deception.

Lies Destroy!

What do you believe?

“COMMANDMENTS”
Jn 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
Jn 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me
1 Jn 2:3 And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments
1 Jn 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
2 Jn 6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it.
Rev 12:17 who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Rev 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

Matthew 22:36-40 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ “This is the great and foremost commandment. “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”

Mt 19:16-19 “And behold, one came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.” He *said to Him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not commit murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother; and You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Jesus said; “keep my commandments” and “He said “keep the commandments” which far exceeds the 10 commandments and lets not forget: Mt 28:20 “teaching them to observe all that I commanded you”. This certainly would include baptism and the Lord’s supper!

“HOLINESS”
“…just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be HOLY and without blemish before Him in love,” (Eph1:4)

“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance; but as He who called you is HOLY, you also become HOLY in all conduct, because it is written, Be HOLY, because I am HOLY. And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, behave yourselves throughout the time of your sojourning in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your vain way of life received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1Pet1:13-19)

“And he said to me, Do not seal the Words of the Prophecy of this Book, for the time is at hand. He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is HOLY, let him be HOLY still. And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to what his work shall be.” (Rev22:10-12)

What the world is, is what WE ONCE WERE: “..being dead in trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world..” (Eph2:1-2) But God did -NOT- ‘accept us as we are’; but He changed us, putting us “in Christ” and giving us a “new” nature by the birth that is “from above”. (2Co5:17, Eph2:3-5, Jn3:3, etc)

WORKS:
Jesus accomplished the works of His Father during His earthly sojourn (John 4:34; 5:17; 5:36; 10:32-37; 14:10-13; 17:4).
The Father gives us work to accomplish during our earthly sojourn (Acts 13:2; 1 Corinthians 16:10; Ephesians 2:10).
God has appointed us over the works of His hands (Genesis 1:27-28; Hebrews 2:7).
We are called to please God by bearing fruit in every good work (Colossians 1:10; Hebrews 13:21).
Our work will be tested and rewarded by God (1 Corinthians 3:13-15).
We must work for the food which endures to eternal life (John 6:27-29).

May you abound in Grace and May you grow in Grace and Grace be with you. Sounds like God’s Grace is something that can be cultivated and increased. Perhaps that Grace is deeper illumination and manifestion in man the image of The Lord JESUS Christ. Something to think about.

Minot and Bismarck, North Dakota Stops #19 and #20 of 200.

Stops #19 & #20 are in the record books. My time in the wilderness continues. Two more weeks of wind dust and few trees. I did find out last week that what I was feeling had more to do with my health and not so much the environment. What I mean is that my zeal became less and less, then the left side of my body started to go numb and I started to feel depressed. Well all these are signs of multiple sclerosis of which I thought was gone. I had no symptoms for years. I want to jump, dance, shout and sing about JESUS. But for now I hope to continue the journey, knowing that this to shall pass as the Lord knows the desires of my heart. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Of the past two weeks, I don’t have exciting stories nor any great works of God working through me that I know to tell. Yet the banner of the LORD JESUS Christ has been flown in Minot and Bismarck, North Dakota and what a honor it has been. Now a new week on the journey has begun in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

My hope is in the LORD.

Your prayers are much appreciated.

So I continue along the journey with hope that GOD willing, I will update you about this time next week.
